I wonder how much higher that is over last year too. On top of people losing jobs and businesses, they are being pushed every day that there's no hope. If someone doesn't wear a mask or they are old or they have a condition, they will get the virus and die, if they are black, they will be killed by the police, if Trump wins again they will be hauled off to a camp to die. Many people believe these media lies and are mentally affected by them--to the point that I have to think some have decided there's no reason to wait around. So many don't care about any of these people though as they don't have any way to use them to push a narrative or agenda.

I don't know, maybe you will dig a bit deeper. It is estimated though that about 800,000 people per year off themselves, and about 25 times as many try. Both numbers bigger than deaths/infections from/of Covid.

By the way, the number of people who have died from malaria so far this year is about the same as from Covid, just slightly less.
