I don't think they've repressed it. I think they've intentionally transferred their racist legacy to Republicans and emphasized it to cover their own history.

For me racism is to put it simply and probably insufficiently: giving one race preferential treatment over a another race.
That's at least one way to put it. It relies on variables. Each one must be a race but they must not be the same race. It is the set of all permutations of two races where the two are not the same.
Formally we don't normally think of it like that our brain just does it and we rely on that. Low intelligent people can't abstract so their variables might be fixed and really they just remember it by examples or associations without really fully grasping it. They might remember it only in the form of giving the white race preferential treatment over black people.
They see the picture in school of the white person whipping the black person and to them that's racism, the vision of a white person whipping the black person. They're not really capable of taking it beyond that. There was a study of cows and it showed they have this limitation though far more so than humans. They're not able to abstract. People with severe autism may have the same deficit.
The liberals don't fail to abstract at all like the people with severe autism or cows but they can't abstract all the way either leaving you with a distorted fragmented system for conceptualising and recognising racism.
The more you look at the left the more these prevailing cognitive faults present. It's not even always in stupid people but rather their ideology lobotomises them often doing things such as exploiting their social cognition to jam their other faculties. There are many such errors and faults like this.
When you spend so long arguing with the left and seeing their ridiculous nonsense it's like dissecting a million brains and finding so many erroneous formulas with so many different errors, a constant here should be a variable, a missing variable here, wrong complex operator there, logical fallacy over here, etc it's pointless to try to enumerate.
This particular cognitive fault I bring up because virtually all the cognitive faults the left are presenting right now are all the same as when racism really was a problem. The main difference is that the variables are switched. They're all the same defective abstract equations regardless. Things such as racism and all our other notions of morality are quite often quite complex equations.
So in a sense nothing has changed, the base human nature hasn't changed, the human error hasn't changed. The variables have just been shuffled in their heads. They're the SAME PEOPLE. They never went anywhere. They just had to scramble their code to avoid detection.
They put on a different costume. That's it. Same person, different uniform.
