Got accused of being a racist by someone I considered a friend.

Their reason? They know I support Trump, and they never heard me say anything in support of BLM.

My daughter in law accused me of being racist for failure to support Hillary Clinton even though I was married to a black woman for 17 years and a had a child with her.

Did you throw her out of your house and ban her from returning?

I couldn't do that to my son.

The next time I saw her in person (the accusation happened online) she acted as if she never said I was a racist and she was all sweetness and light. It's not the first time I have noticed that someone has one persona online that is totally different from the way they present themselves in real life.

I think for many people (maybe even me?) communicating online is kind of like communicating when you're in your car alone and someone cuts you off in traffic. You say things you mean but would not say if someone else were in the car with you.

That's why I love the internet. You don't need to waste time with manners and politeness. You can say EXACTLY what you mean and move on in a couple minutes.

Leftists sure place a lot of value in platitudes and hollow words
