Hurricane Katrina in 2005 was the first major “THAT’S RACIST!” nationwide media blitz that I remember. Loozyanna RAT governor Blanco and the Nawlins mayor and his chocolate city. I was too young to remember Rodney King.
Born in 92, same for me, and it's not like it was in your face 24/7 and everybody told you that your white and therefore evil. It was just maybe one little news report and that one time Kanye said George Bush didn't care about black people on live TV. Otherwise that was it and I can't remember any race shit ever. Grew up in a small suburb and we had plenty of black people in our school, everyone got along fine.
88 checking in, can confirm this shit was NOT prevalent growing up. I got along with black kids just fine, in fact nearly all of my friends are Arabic, Hispanic, or Indian. I'm not saying people were colorblind, but damn did we have much tougher skin growing up without the constant barrage of social media. I consider myself lucky, I was the last bit of Americana where my dad and I still tossed a ball around, I was a good golfer as well, I've kicked many asses at indoor karting, heck I remember being a kid at NASCAR races when it was still the Winston Cup, Mom would come home with three free cartons of smokes and bags of other cool shit. I remember watching Joe Cool Camel parades on TV.
All those things aren't just considered blasphemy, they straight up banned them. The clown world has been around for half of my life, I promise the pre-clown world was fucking awesome. You know what I'm talking about pede, however those born in the 2000's will never know a world without constant internet, playing outside, toughening up and getting the job done, making it happen... SMH, fuck what anyone says, the good old days were awesome. Luckily there's still hope, social media, like any addiction can be broken. Now if only we can do something about the colleges brainwashing our youth...
I agree. I grew up then. Literally born in 1998. I haven't known racism in anyway. But now because I'm conservative and white am I supposed to be racist al of the sudden? I've been friends with many different people. So no. They can take their bullshit elsewhere.
Go back to the 90s. Racism was DEAD. These morons revived it

Was downhill from 9/11 the patriot act. Still agree would love these years back again
There was a lot of bs about people being "racist" against muslims after 9/11.

This. 100%. Democrats, in their effort to gain and keep power, have set civil rights back further than anything else in the last 20 years.
Truth
I've been saying this for the past couple of years.
I remember watching The Fresh Prince on TV and never thinking "I'm watching a black show".
To me, it was just a good show, and it didn't even register that I was watching a show about a black family.
The father figure was a great example of how to make it in America, and he tired his best to instil proper values on his children and his nephew.
Blazing Saddles and All in the Family: ca. 1974
How far back we have slid in our ability to laugh at ourselves and our fellow Americans
Rodney king and o.j. Simpson entered the chat
They both entered shithole LA. Rest of the country thought them both to be clown shows.
