So, I've long been a hard-left Marx reading sort of guy, but dear god, I think I want Trump to win. Can this be?

Among the left, I'm what you'd call a "class reductionist," which is to say, I give no fucks about race or gender or whatever (not that discrimination isn't real, but it's secondary and at least to some extent itself a product of capitalism). To me it's all about class. Just to be clear, CHAZ and the anarchists are total moron LARPERS.

The way I see it, there are the guys who control all the money and capital, such as wall street guys and people like Bezos (I have no problem with local restaurant level capitalism), and then there's all the workers getting fed a shit sandwich every day. This is who I sympathize with. That's whose side I'm on.

I gotta say, the Democrats are clearly not on that side. This latest insanity almost seems designed to create a race war. Why would you destroy the country this way? Is Trump really that bad? The Russia hoaxes? Insanely irresponsible. Would it really be the worst thing in the world if Trump succeeded in something. Why don't those assholes want America to "win?" What the hell is wrong with them. I can't get past the recklessness.

So I've always hated Wall Street democrats and I hate identitarians. I supported Sanders against Clinton and this time around, though with increasingly less enthusiasm. Biden's a dirtbag. The Democrats are trying to destroy America and are in league with my enemies, the capitalists, at this point more than the Republicans.

Don't get me started on the damn media. My god, the condescension, the preening, the self regard, the stupidity--insufferable ivy league cunts.

Sorry for the rant, I just can't believe here I am a Marxist and Tucker Carlson is my favorite news show and I'm about a centimeter away from asking for a coat from you guys. Honestly it's confusing and I feel like I've taken a whole bottle of crazy pills. I just can't believe how the "left" is behaving. Just to give you an idea of how different this stuff is from the principles of an actual left, Lenin said, "He who does not work shall not eat" is a bedrock socialist principle.

Capitalism is not bad nor good, but neutral. Capitalists are not really the problem with Capitalism.

The real Problem is Monopolies. Google, Face book, Twitter, Youtube, etc. to name a few are Monopolies. Its when they get much bigger than a big corporation. A good example of a big Corporation was Trump's Corporation. The four mentioned before are far bigger.

I am not sure if there is a name to describe them, but I will say World Monopolies would be the next step up if I have to take a guess if there is no name yet.

Capitalism itself is normally about hard work, effort, and making wise choices that allow those coming after to build on top of them. Corrupted Capitalism or Crony Capitalism/Oligarchism is more where it stops being Capitalism and becomes an Oligarchy.

This is how I view it, and I am not doing this to have an argument. Just giving my view is all.

I hear you, and if we could have a Teddy Roosevelt come and bust up monopolies I'd be very, very excited. Not all socialists are against markets--I'm certainly not. I think hard work, thrift, and all these other sorts of values should be rewarded. It would be crazy not to, right? My beef is with the power that capitalists accrue, with monopoly being the ultimate expression of this.

I think I'd go further than you with the restrictions on corporate power, but we probably agree more than we disagree and I'd love to be having the conversation about how much monopoly is acceptable.

I'll also say, again from a traditional left line, capitalism is deeply flawed, but also kind of awesome. It's the most productive force the planet has ever known. The question is, how do we improve it? What do we do about exploitation, etc.

I appreciate how reasonable of a discussion you are having. There’s certainly a lot more of people like you on this side, rather than the finger in ears REE’ing liberals canceling any opinion that doesn’t submit to theirs all day. I think we all agree things can be improved upon, but in the current moment there are other, more pressing, battles to be fought. Like the war against discussion and facts.
