I originally did it because I was tired of crybaby or criminal athletes who set poor examples and were never held accountable for their actions, but today it's the leagues, not just the athletes who have shown themselves to be worthless.

I'm glad I have not been supporting them, and I hope many more Americans do the same.

The whu flu forced break from 24/7 sports entertainment will have long term impact in the form of reduced viewership. People are seeing that sports, sports, sports are not everything.

I personally have started to enjoy watching the German soccer league. I can enjoy the sport, there are limited commercial breaks, and the players are not covered extensively in the US media so my only exposure to them is on the field, not pontificating on social, environmental, or economic issues.

I'm not here to persuade anyone to watch anything, I am just sharing how I am coping.
