I originally did it because I was tired of crybaby or criminal athletes who set poor examples and were never held accountable for their actions, but today it's the leagues, not just the athletes who have shown themselves to be worthless.

I'm glad I have not been supporting them, and I hope many more Americans do the same.

Well I don’t want watch as much as I used to for several reasons.

  • the game’s themselves have changed, basketball isn’t physical, and gives favor to star players. Football has also changed to not be as physical although refs are better in football.
  • I watch sports to watch sports, not to get politics thrown at me
  • the games aren’t as pure, more players care about their stat line to get a better contract, rather than being the best player for the team, so the team could win a championship
  • to go with the point above, less player loyalty to a team. I find this a bit more understandable as it’s not like the owners won’t drop them over nothing, but again no loyalty
  • the corporatization or arenas and jerseys, “the orange bowl presented by PlayStation” or losing traditional arena names
  • I did not like the leagues favoring rapists like Rothlesberger or Kobe Bryant.
