The precedent basically already exists thanks to Aaron Burr. He was the Vice President at one point, but he betrayed the nation and tried to steal Texas, then was outlawed here and fled to Europe.

How did he plan on bringing TX with him to Europe? There'd be an extra baggage charge on the plane for that!
