its a pretty easy knot to tie, bowline and sheepshank give me trouble everytime, but then again the only reason I know how to tie any of them was because of the Boy Scouts/Army. It is also a super perishable skill if you arnt doing it everyday. I do know though, that if I wanted to tie a handle on the end of a rope it would probably look like a noose, but I guess if I ever found my self in that situation i guess id just have to tough it out because God forbid some bottom feeding piece of shit would get offended by it, in our modern culture where we only cater to bottom feeding pieces of shit.
Ah, the bowline knot. "The rabbit goes out of the hole, around the tree, then back into the hole." That's how I remember. I even had to tie a couple for a clothesline in the equipment room at the first college I attended (I was basketball manager and therefore responsible for laundry). I guess I can't do that anymore...yeesh!
haha thats how I learned too, and as I tie it I sit there and repeat that in my head and still manage a sub 50% success rate. I may just be really slow.
