Much as I'd like to agree, self defense is a tough sell when you're deliberately putting yourself in that position. Generally speaking, if you consult any lawyer or police officer with experience on the subject, you're better off legally avoiding a lethal force scenario at almost all costs and only using a deadly weapon as an absolute last resort. Morally or ethically is a different argument, but the legal system isn't on your side.
