Finally, some good news.

And I think Trump made the right call: give them enough rope to hang themselves with, avoid bringing in water cannons, German Shepherds, and rubber bullets, but then throw the fucking book at them and make an example out of them, with their crimes clearly delineated for all to see.

The feds have like a 99% conviction rate.

As a general rule, the federal government doesn't file criminal charges against somebody unless they have a near-watertight case.

Agreed, but i would like to see wuflu levels of attention on the sentencings.

I want montages of petulant idiots crying as they get handed life ruining sentences.

I bet CNN won't cover any of it. Once their Leftist heroes get caught, they pretend it never happened.

I dunno, would that be like having political prisoners? I'm super not a lefty here, just think that we should be vigilant in preserving our rights to freedom of assembly and freedom of speech. It's easy to give those up, hard to get them back.

I'm being a bit tongue in cheek, but I do very much want to see looters and vandals be punished, and at this point in time, there's an argument to be made to hand out more severe punishments as a precedent to reclaim order.

I think your concern is valid. At the same time, I'd mention that freedom of assembly is also being put in jeopardy by the very same vandals that have hijacked the movement, so punishing them could serve to remedy that.
