I say nearly, because he didn't even know it happened until after it was starting to make news - the only thing he did that was stupid was continue to push the lie saying "It's still a real noose guys! IT WAS REAL!" on CNN recently. He dropped that now too, though.
Correct. He deserves a lot of blame for carrying on the act after clearly knowing what was going on but to me the majority of the blame goes to NASCAR. They thought they struck gold with a juicy (no pun intended) story and it backfired worse than I think any of us could have imagined. We all knew it would backfire, but not quite that bad.
