I genuinely and sincerely don’t care if COVID infection rates increase SO LONG AS the people being infected are healthy and can stand the risk it poses to them. Quarantine the very susceptible (nursing homes, hospitals, etc.), have these places heavily screen incoming employees, allow the healthy to consume and produce so the economy doesn’t grind to a halt, and let herd immunity play a significant role. I’m skeptical on our ability to produce a safe and effective vaccine so quickly and we can’t perpetually stay in limbo, this is an option that doesn’t kill those vulnerable and doesn’t gut the nation’s economy. This also gives hospitals a chance to prepare for increased infections of those in need of hospitalization should things go awry.
