It’s stupid how much harder it is to get a number for active cases in the US. On the JH website Ohio doesn’t even have recoveries listed despite my hometown’s county hospital posting a list of cases where everyone has recovered except for 2 people.
There overall rate is about 24 per 100,000 people per week
You will have to select the parameters in the link, so about 80,000 per week nation wide, or average 1,600 (varying 800 to 3,200) hospitalizations per state per week.
There are about 20,000 incorporated cities etc in America...so an average of about 4 (varying 2 to 8) hospitalizations per city per week depending on severity of the area
