I agree with you, from my perspective, homosexuals are born not made. In high school, I hung out with a group of guys and girls - very tight group - we truly loved each other as friends and did everything together for three straight years (Sophomore through Senior year) . One by one, starting in Sophomore year, the guys started realizing they were gay, and by end Senior year, all the guys (except me) knew they were gay. it turns out all the four other guys in our group besides me are gay. It was very educational to watch them realize - these are people I knew more closely than anyone in the world - we spent ALL our time together (we were all band fags so no other friends - but we didn't care - we had each other). You seem like you love yourself - that's great to see. Please don't ever be ashamed.

If you haven't yet, try to do some traveling outside the US if you are able, There is a HUGE world out there, and people of ALL kinds - its is mind boggling. I have lived in Singapore for the last 23 years (am US citizen), and travel all over the world on business. There are many many people out there in the world who have like mindset and you can find connection. Please direct message me if you ever plan to travel to Asia. Would love to connect and buy you a beer and a tequila shot.
