If you go back to school, think twice about your degree. The liberal arts are popular and don't necessarily translate well into work. Think about degrees that can lead to employment and maybe get into things you like.
For example you could do data science with a minor in political science. Big data is hot right now, everyone will want a piece of you. You can still go into politics, because someone who can properly do statistics/data analysis is very valuable to any political campaign.
Also, being a lesbian you check off two diversity boxes, so if you go into STEM they are going to bend over backwards to get their hands on you.
Just something to think about. Look into job placement and salary before you pick your degree. Remember that liberal arts stuff you are interested in can always be a minor. Heck, you don't even need a minor, you could just do a bunch of courses in political science to fill out your electives.
