Yes. Gravity itself is concluded, as of currently, to not be a particle, but as a wave instead, so if gravity itself is not actually a particle, it cant exist in the quantum feild theory as a particle, which is most likely why scientists are struggling to connect the two. Waves just arent particles, and vice versa.

De broglie and spectroscopy is pretty much built on the duality though.. Also the dual slit experiment.
