If they then successfully prosecute enough criminals from the class they now see themselves above, with the help of their police dad’s buddies on the force, their resume may earn them a shot at political office, even Attorney General. From there if they give out enough political favors and bury enough scandals they get to run the prison institutions and collect mad graft.

With any luck they are a judge by 50 and their children will have a real shot at joining the big elite club, their family admitted into the ruling class, to make laws to maintain its own rule and atomize any opposition. This is how the ruling class reproduces itself.
