A length of cheesecloth would also work if you don't have a scarf. Nice and light for summer.

The world can't have too much cheese!

We're trapped in OR and can't bear masks for more than 10 minutes at a time. Pulled a cotton netting scarf out of the closet and looped it over my face, ta-dah! I can breathe and my glasses don't even fog up anymore. One with metallic thread in it helps with the illusion that it has any substance it at all if your local Karens are extra jumpy.

Great move! Mine are silk: sheer, breathable & no-fog on the glasses. I’m wondering if there will eventually be a move towards enforcing the use of “proper” masks. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least here in the Seattle metro area. This area is lost — super blue.

A lot of people are sick of this nonsense - I watched a guy go into the supermarket ahead of me a couple days ago with a rubber dragon mask that only covered the top half of his head.
