I have had a couple of friends like that. Being woke is their faith replacement and they are true believers. They are impenetrable to reason. Like my mom used to say, you can’t reason someone out of a position that they weren’t reasoned into. I would concentrate on those you can reach.
I read all this ... but then I had to say one thing. You are a GOOD FRIEND. I still think one of these days we will find some of these people have been sprayed or injected with something that affects a certain part of their brains.
Man, I was so patient... at one point she said "I'm getting very angry and emotional with all this", and I said "of course, I fully understand, and it's a natural reaction to have when someone is directly challenging your core beliefs with actual facts that dispute them... it doesn't make the facts less real, though"...

Try not to feel bad. Your points make perfect sense IMHO to me. Just gas lighting. Anyone who would truly think the "Star Spangled Banner" words, "'bombs bursting in air" "seems violent" and a reason to get rid of it? Pretzel logic fed to them, they are being used by evil people, so those people can steal OUR country and take power, control and wealth, for themselves. These useful idiots have no idea they are being used, and will be left in the dust, not rewarded or in some "nirvana" society, if the ones they believe right now ever get control. Sad they don't understand.
This one simply doesn't make any sense to me. It's completely and utterly insane. How can even the most brainwashed leftists go for it? It's the craziest hill to die on I've ever seen them take.
They've had indoctrination throughout all aspects of their lives, and bought every bit of it before they knew they had a choice in the matter. Many of those souls are lost.
