Down here on the SW state line everyone is afraid their business being fined. The company I work with did a survey to find out what they could get away with from their employees. We have to complete a daily survey that asks us if we have a fever or have had any contact with anyone that shows symptoms of Covid. They put infrared thermometers at most door entry ways. We’re required to wear masks now all the time unless of our immediate work area. If someone comes into our work area, they need to be masked, but not me. If I leave my work area, I have to be masked. If I ride a forklift outside the building, I have to wear a mask. I initially started looking for a new job, but seems most places are also adhering to this. Personally, I wear my mask around my chin all day long. When I see my supervisor or another manager, I slip it over my nose until I’ve passed. What can we do but follow in single file? No one wants to lose their job, or get red marks for something that may be gone in a few months. It’s all dumb.
