My mother is Latino and she was one of the very few people in her family that likes Trump and wanted to vote for Trump in 2020, but I noticed that she was suddenly turning against Trump.
My mother doesn't watch CNN or any left wing news... she does watch a lot of Spanish soap operas.
I sat down with her the other day and caught her watching Telemundo news... and OMG. Telemundo is even worse than CNN!
Every news segment was an 3 minute attack ad on Trump, Biden was never mentioned in a negatively light.
My mother is old fashion person; she doesn't see the deceit from them and trusts they are telling the truth.
She is still on board with all of trumps policies including immigration.
I'm afraid millions of well intentioned Latino people who were secretly supporting Trump are being exposed to this garbage from Telemundo everyday.
I wish there was something we could do about it...
Once upon a time a boy came across an old man throwing clams back into the sea.
The boy looked around and saw thousands of clams that had washed ashore, so he looked at the man in awe and wondered, Why do you pass your time this way? Surely you know you will make no difference?
The old man just stooped down on the beach, picked up a clam from the sand, tossed it back into the water and then replied, perhaps not, but I made a difference to that one.
The moral of the story is that while it is beyond anyone's power to change Telemundo or the millions of people who it brainwashes, you can change back your Mother's attitude on Trump.
Just sit her down when she is not busy and converse with her about Trump in a way that she will change her heart; you know her best so you know how. Good luck!
