Apparently 3 other children died from gunshot wounds in chicago over the weekend this occured. One of them was just three years old. Nothing can replace the lives snuffed out by this foolish recklessness. I'm nearly speechless.
I cannot even imagine. Sitting in your home having a laugh one second and then boom you are holding your child as she dies from a gunshot wound to the neck. Absolute nightmare. That poor child and mom. This is America, not some 3rd world country.

There are no riots demanding change. There are no people coming forward, giving statements to the police that lead to arrests. They wail and scream as they bury their children but adamantly demand you keep quiet or you'll end up dead. They actively oppose the police, demanding its defunding and disbanding.
What I see is one less baby factory who is passed around the various gangbangers of the local hood, who can't read, write or do basic math because all they do in school is fight with other girls, dismiss and harass the teachers. If they even bother to attend classes. They deify gangsta rappers and the lifestyle.
At one time, I wasn't this jaded. I've grown up and realized that it's the same thing as substance abusers and those suffering from physical and mental abuse. Until they actually realize that they are the ones who have their own destiny in their hands and want to change, nothing you or anyone else says or does will matter.
