My friend of 25 years has a 20 year old daughter who posted how she never felt unsafe around a black person or gay person, but has around white men. My husband pointed our that the post is racist. She got all offended that my husband called her a racist and all hell has broken loose. They have all unfriended my husband. They are very left, we are very right leaning. I defended that my husband is struggling with all the anti white male sentiment, but no...you can't be racist against white people. The daughter did nothing wrong, is trying to find her voice. I am devastated that this friendship is crumbling, but I'm going to stand up for my husband. Anyone dealt with this?

If it makes ye feel any better I lost a 20 year friendship over posting a meme of The Last of Us. These people are unhinged. Dont wring your hands at the loss of these people in your lives. If anything, it allocates more free time to people ye may find more enjoyable to be around.
