It was a Jimmy McGill-tier shit show, but I can confirm that even under the best of times, building a solid case, navigating the courts, and then trying a case takes a substantial amount of time. I’ve seen personal injury cases that lasted years. What Barr is working on is complex at a level unlike anything I ever saw during my time in the office.

I feel you. I’m optimistic by nature, but even I have felt pretty down lately, particularly as a closet conservative in a far left family. But whatever happens, we’re all in this together, and we will survive.
I’ve seen less complex cases (again, personal injury) that lasted 6+ years. It’s not a “narrative.” It’s reality. One client. One case. One defendant. Now multiply that by however many leads have to be investigated, and how many people have a vested interest in the Trump administration failing. There’s an entire establishment that has been fighting Trump tooth and nail since before he even took office. 4 years ain’t enough to take that down.
I, for one, am glad that Barr and Trump aren’t showing their hands before they’ve won. It’s like celebrating before you’ve completed your victory lap, only to crash a few yards from the finish line. That’s a Barack Hussein move.
