Avoid people who use these terms. There is only one system in the world that lifts people out of poverty and that is capitalism. To the degree that private property, the rule of law, free and fair elections and free enterprise are maintained in a society, most members of that society will be successful. To the degree that those things are undermined, that society will fail. This is a tale as old as time.
