I recently got to my breaking point at work after my coworkers non stop Trump/Republican bashing ,I never have mentioned that I don't agree but will state an opinion on things without out right saying I'm on a certain side. Recently I've said please stop with the political talk because i'm just emotionally drained from hearing it all day, nobody cares. Next day I say please enough I dont want to hear it,I dont agree with your stance and this isn't the place to be talking about this and go to the office per request of my supervisor(knew nothing would happen) more and more they talk to piss me off. Seems to be no laws for the work place on this issue unless I claim harassment, am I right?

Thats ok but look at this technique: Take notes while the recorder is hidden and running. The recorder can be taken home and played so the notes can be completed in full. Sign them and get a notary on it. Of course the recorder can't be used in court, but it can be used to make complete notes.
All businesses record phone conversations and that's how someone got in trouble calling a business and spreading even true rumors. The Business had the person's voice and called the workplace and a cease and desist letter was written by a lawyer, nothing can be proved though since the person wasn't warned of a recording, but they could lose their job.
