Someone said in another thread that they didn’t confirm it, that they just put in random numbers and it worked. Not sure if this fucks them over somehow which I wouldn’t want to do since I hope it takes off, or even if it’s true.
I can guarantee this works, as I did just that a couple days ago. I'm really surprised people, especially on this site, haven't at least tried searching and trying it out.
It absolutely does NOT work now for me, I just tried to sign up and it SMS'd me a verification code despite using a fake number. Without that code I can't sign up.
So, no Parler for me as I will not disclose my phone number.
That was the reason I tried to sign up when I read they were not checking them, I figured they would start once the leftists started showing up, alas I was too late.
Hope they have a change of heart and I'll sign up then.

Agreed, I won't sign up under those conditions.
Having people's phone numbers are super valuable which I guess is why they do it.
Seems the recent influx of users made them actually start verifying. I'm glad I signed up when I did then!
