I think they are just completely incapable of applying consistent logic, so to them, it doesn't take mental gymnastics. It's natural to just go with your emotional reaction to every issue.

It’s easy to understand when you realize they are just the most selfish group of people out there. I didn’t realize this until I had to move to California for work, and boy are these people selfish. They call themselves progressive liberals but they think everyone here who is Chinese is a spy and they refuse to build more cheaper housing because it will bring “non Bay Area natives” and undesirables.

They call themselves progressives, but the progression is only for themselves. Notice how all their policies benefit themselves because they make them feel good or put more money in their own pockets, but it hurts others. They tell you to have compassion for others but they won’t share that compassion back, they just want you to bend over backwards for them and cater to them while they sit at home and tap away at their keyboards.

Yes, they play lots of mental gymnastics but remember they do it because they are the most self centered, entitled, and selfish people on the planet.

Look at how they criticize America, they say America isn’t taking care of unemployed citizens but America gives more money every week to their citizens currently than any other nation out there, on top of a $1,200 bonus that even employed people got. They say our country is stupid yet we have 8 of the worlds top 10 universities. They say our healthcare is fucked but we make the most medical advancements of any country and no one is ever refused medical treatment. They say our poor have it bad but people making minimum wage can still own a car and live in their own place.

They live in the greatest country on the planet that gives its citizens the best life of any nation out there and they still have the audacity to say America sucks. Go literally anywhere else, first of all they probably won’t give you a citizenship because you are such a drain on society and second of all no place will give you all that America gives you.

The struggle brag. Everyone has to suffer from anxiety or depression or whatever the disorder du jour is. Post hundreds of photoshopped images on social media, then do a tearful video about your struggle, get lots of likes, repeat. If they really had something to cry about, or just something to do, they wouldn't have time to coo over decrepit criminals.
