Depends on the composition of the group in who you are discrediting the left. You force them on pain of laughter and embarrassment to define what the fuck they are actually talking about.
If someone told me that in person. Maybe, something like. "Why would I use a seatbelt to cover my nose and face. That doesn't work." Once they give you something concrete. "Well masks stop the transmission of the virus?" What do you mean, "Like asymptomatic transmission?"
I love using the “fart theory” for why masks don’t work.
Fauci et al told us that the virus is very small - must wear n95 masks to be effective. Following that logic, a cloth covering will never stop the virus. Think of a fart. Larger particles than the CCP virus. Farts go through many layers of thicker fabric than a mask and everyone knows farts can’t be contained.
