I only ever viewed that movie and Gone with the Wind as history. A forgotten past is one we are doomed to repeat. Past failures are the ones we need to remember. Everyone remembers good happy times. But bad times in the mind tend to be brushed away with the dust. We need things like monuments, videos, etc to remember them so we never repeat the mistake.
