Seriously, a bunch of my family were interned and their property was jacked during WW2.

But you know what, they all moved on and became hard working, successful Americans. They don't bitch about it or see racism everywhere they look.

One of our family's uncles worked for a Japanese family at the time.

They had a very successful business but stood to lose it all.

Our uncle had them sign everything over to him and he took care of everything while they were interned.

When they were released he signed everything back over to them for one dollar. They pretty mush picked up where they left off, minus the time taken from them by a racist Democrat.

FDR was a Democrat and still a hero to them. Much of the generational support for Democrats dates directly back to the New Deal.

For anyone else who's history classes left out this crucial piece of american history. This article, I believe, has a decent summary. Though please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yep and we all forget he prolonged the depression with the new deal(which was actually more harmful than good) and gets away with putting all the Japs in camps. FDR was the crappier remake of Teddy Chad Roosevelt. While yes Teddy didn't like mexico he was the first one to invite a black person to the white house, first to create the National parks, was an overall bad ass, made the Panama canal, because of him one of the most recognizable plushes exist a.k.a. Teddy bears, he wrote a book on naval strategies that would be used in the Navy, was shot in the chest during a speech which he continued even though he was bleeding he still lasted a few hours before needing medical attention, and a lot more. Teddy was a man of action and not one for useless Political mind games.
