Universities, like Duke University in Durham? The university named after a slave owner, Washington Duke who bought a slave named Caroline for $601. The wealthy land owner who also borrowed his friends' slaves when it was helpful to bring in his crops, so he could profit from their labor. The Duke family who made their fortunes from tobacco which causes disease disproportionately affecting blacks and other minorities? The Duke University that didn’t admit black students until 1968?
Shouldn't statues of Washington Duke be torn down immediately? Shouldn't the school be forced to pay reparations (they have an 8.6 BILLION dollar endowment!)? Shouldn't the name of this racist organization be wiped from history forever?
I had two friends who randomly happened to be in Asheville on vacation at the same time. It wasn't planned or anything. One guy texts the group chat "so I'm in Asheville and there are homeless everywhere- like everywhere, I've never seen this kinda shit before. Passed out drunk, walking down the street yelling at the sky, drugs everywhere". My other friend says he's there, too, and says the same thing.
They end up flooding the chat with pictures of homeless. It was crazy.
My husband is from Candler-small town close to Asheville. We try to visit his family at least twice a year. We always play a game called "Hipster or Homeless" when we go downtown
Asheville is a cesspool. People tolerate it because they stay there. But Antifa keeps threatening to wander into the suburbs and rural areas, blissfully unaware that there will be a gun behind every blade of grass.
I was born and raised in Greensboro, but you couldn't pay me enough money to live anywhere in Guilford county now. My wife and I both work in Greensboro now, but we live in a neighboring small town in a different county.
So - I have completely enjoyed working from home these past few months! I refuse to spend any money in Greensboro when I have to return to working in the office. I'll bring my lunch everyday.
If you are where I assume you are, I'm there, too. Shit ever hits the fan, PD/City Hall is absolutely the place to be for the front-footed. Absolutely.
And if you're not where I assume you are, carry on, friend.
Though I'm not a DAR member (Daughters of the Revolutionary War), my ancestor was among the Regulators at the Battle of Guilford County Courthouse. I've heard it said this battle led up to the Revolutionary War.
And what's really sad about how anti-American it's become today: one of my grandmother's distant cousins, J W Albright, was publisher of Greensboro's newspaper that ran from 1869-1944.
Its name? The Greensboro Patriot.
That's where Greensboro's allegiance was back in those days.
You have no idea the amount of trash from NY and NJ that's moving here. I just sold my house in Raleigh to one. I don't get it, they flood from one city to the next like locusts, leaving one ruined husk after another.
Durham is a fucking cesspool. What is the obsession with left-fags and big cities?
Universities.
"Think of the children" - as you unwillingly fund 10 years of terrorist activity for an education worth a couple hundred dollars at best.
Laura Ingram was good last night.
My conservative mom is the best.

Asheville is just as bad.

Sad and disgusting.

I agree. That’s where I live and they had our downtown looking like trash. Thank God I love just outside of city limits, I just avoid them all
Chapel Hill. NC is heading the way of CO, left.
Chapel Hill is basically Durham. Greensboro and Asheville are the next shit holes to be.

Sad to hear.

Don't let the idiots take it. Fight back dude.

Greensboro holds a special place in my heart. (For now) but, I'm afraid it is beyond the point of no return.
Not after dealing with this idiot Roy Pooper. People around me are freaking motivated this election to send him packing. He's a fraudulent governor.
That’s where the big money is.
“Money”. That’s where the degeneracy they love and foment happens
