detaining? hell no, they're not detaining anybody... they have no civil enforcement authority and if they detain you, that is itself a criminal act - unlawful detention, kidnapping. If they touch you, that's battery.

They can ask you to leave. If you refuse, they can ask for an officer to issue a trespass charge.
