Voted Trump last time, lifelong Republican, and I was actually one of the earliest advocates for masks. That was back when Fauci and Co said that they "didn't work." I figured that it would be something to try, and seemed to work for S. Korea and Japan. Back then, too, the virus was running rampant in Italy, New York, and elsewhere and it looked like every place would be like that soon.
But as time went on and we learned about how the virus wasn't that deadly at all, I thought it was excessive and quit wearing a mask. Now it turns out that Fauci deliberately lied about that. The cases and deaths are dropping substantially, and NOW they want to MANDATE masks? While allowing all of these riots/protests? Fuck them. I'm not going back to wearing a mask. If they make it mandatory then I'm just not going out in public unless I have to. I refuse to participate in their perpetual state of fear.
