You don’t “take your country back” with arms as a first resort. We (conservatives) abandoned the culture war with our learned helplessness, to the point where armed conflict seems like the only possible recourse. That is not so.
To would-be downvoters, realize the post I’m replying to is talking about bodies of dead Americans in the streets. Do you feel that would vastly improve our circumstances?

Joining a local militia is in no way doing anything other than "staying put," except some are becoming more politically involved which we should all think is a good idea. Since February the movement has gained momentum / restarted from scratch, and LEOs are in no position to harass them as they did previously.
Mymilitia.com may be a good first step for many here. The militia is nothing but the last line of defense against a tyrannical government, and won't do a thing about anything current; however, if we ever do need a militia trying to join it then will be too late. It may be able to help some form community defense, which would be separate from militia activity.
Thinking that any POTUS would ever be in a position to ask for an armed militia is contrary to reality.
Whose “first resort” do you think I’m talking about? We as conservatives would be using violence as a first resort over other options that we’ve forgotten about, such as organizing in large, highly-visible groups. That’s working for the left currently. I’m not talking about negotiating with the left, I’m talking about us doing more before we resort to armed conflict and killing fellow Americans.
Large high visibility groups now would do nothing but end in bloodshed. They are not peacefully protesting, and if we went in to do just that, we would be slaughtered. And arrested.
Conservatives had tried every other option - and are silenced. "Cancelled."
They plainly want us dead. Believe them when they tell you that.
In a world where they prohibit the 1A on pain of violence and destitution and smiling obedience. The only other recourse is exercising and usage of the 2A.
And just in case there are leftist lurkers reading. Yeah, good luck with the bull shit that we are allowed to bear arms, but never use it to fulfill it's function.
