I joined Parler a year and a half ago and I'm still suckin' air! As for the phone number requirement if I remember correctly I was able to 'skip' that input. Whatever, holding back because you're afraid somebody may be selling your goods you might as well just drop off the internet cause everybody does it.
They send you a verification text message to confirm the number. You need to enter that verification code to complete sign up.
There are ways to get a disposable number but every time you sign in from a new browser or a new device, you need to re-verify via text message on that same number.

I think the difference is what’s allowed to be posted. Parler isn’t as “free” as Gab. However, Parler isn’t going to censor conservative... yet.
As I understand it it's because the guy that shot up the Tree of Life Synagogue and murdered a number of the congregation posted on Gab.
Phone number can not be skipped now.
Well that is a bit of a bummer, how about giving them you ex-wife/girlfriends? I doubt they check if you're on the other end of it.

I guess that would mean anyone without a mobile phone and not able to text message would be SOL if they wanted to sign up. Strange approach.
