Yeah, remember in Atlas Shrugged when all the "producers" revolted against socialism? I see the opposite happening. The profit motive is driving these companies to bow to Chinese money without considering that for them its just another useful tool to gain worldwide supremacy. They didnt just suddenly turn into Capitalists.

I think you'd better read the book again. That's literally what it's about. Who are the successful? The ones who do what the government tells them to do. Their art sucks. Their businesses are disasters. When the truly productive notice, and stop . . . that's when he shrugs.

Except those producers have built a system that eliminates their necessity, at least in the short term. Anyone can use their blueprints and the systems created by the past producers to become cookie cutter producers themselves. This is the only reason China isn't a third world country. They cut and paste the systems past producers made. Now Atlas shrugs and no one bats an eye, because nothing happens. What the leeches have realized is that they can pilfer the system and get rich doing nothing but being corrupt. There's probably a failure point where corruption exceeds production, but who's to say where that's at.

That's true, they stole from their future selves to pay themselves temporarily, and now they're fucked. We just did the same thing. The only positive thing about Biden winning, is that if we can survive the 4 years of Biden after the economic collapse, it'll be conservatives all the way down for 12 years or more. Assuming there's not a civil unrest, civil war, famine, insurrection, invasion, whatever before we get there.

I'm not so sure. You presume that society can continue with nothing but blue-haired trans whales in charge. I'm not sure that's the case.

It is a good book to a point. The biggest problem with the entire book is the third part. That is where Ayn Rand realized she blew her wad in the first two parts and the third part becomes a fantasy novel with more deus ex machina spell casting.
