who voted for Trump 2016 and aren't voting Trump 2020. But I've met quite a few who didn't vote for him and have changed their minds this time around.

I didn't vote at all in 2016 because I wasn't stoked on Trump and I hated Hillary. This year I would walk a mile over hot coals to the polling booth to vote for him

Cupowar 28 points ago +28 / -0

Same! I definitely didn't want Hilary to win but figured she was a shoo-in so I stayed home. I'll be voting for Trump in November... if there's still a country left by then.

I voted for him but was thinking he was the enormous underdog. But he’s also the first person running for that level of office that truly gave me hope. I didn’t feel like I was picking the lesser of two evil or just trying to slow down the death of this nation, I felt like I was casting a vote for someone that would fight day and night to turn things around and put America on the right path again.

What has changed was that in 2016 I didn’t vote R on a few other office candidates (I think I just left them blank). That’s going to change now. If I get so much as a whiff of liberal or progressive off of a candidate, I’m voting for their biggest opponent near no questions asked. I’m going to try and give the Republicans all the power they can get because handing a Democrat a seat of power would be like Anne Frank handing Hitler a loaded gun. This will probably be my first all Republican ballot.

I met one person. Voted Trump 2016 most likely voting Biden 2020. His funeral in 2018 was a sad event 😢

It's a great time to visit, low crowds, no school groups. Enjoyed mellow coasters and did kumanjaro drop of doom like 15 times in a row. Got back to the car and listened to heads exploding on the way home.

I was a Paultard who fell back into apathy after two failed elections, thought Trump was a clown and Hillary would win. Didn't get on the train until seeing how the media distorted the travel ban.

DITTO! I personally know of no one that voted for Trump that has abandoned him...while I know 7 that voted Clinton or Johnson that voting for him. It is anecdotal, but damn near empirical at this point.

I know one friend who got real salty about the bump stock ban. We haven't talked in a while (life reasons), but I highly doubt he'll be voting for Biden or anyone else.

... would be disastrous, but it ain't gonna happen. OP is correct.

4
irspow 4 points ago +4 / -0

To be fair, no one who was ever really a Republican could possibly vote for a Democrat in this current era. Republicans can be horrible, but they aren’t communists.

9
Stonesolo 9 points ago +9 / -0

Same here but we shall see.

9
slangin_paint 9 points ago +9 / -0

Yes. And this includes people who had to hold their nose when they voted trump in 2016. Most of those people have really warmed to trump since then

7
CyclopticErotica 7 points ago +7 / -0

I voted for him out of spite hoping he would take a match to the place, and it was a good decision.

3
H335 [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

I've seen that same thing too.

7
AnimalChin 7 points ago +7 / -0

My in laws did in 2016, but said they aren't. They watch fake news though.

6
turdinthepunch 6 points ago +6 / -0

My wife and I both wrote Bernie in for 2016... Yech! We are both can't wait to vote trump.but we also have been paying close attention to media malpractice and the culture war. We are in New England and I have 4 trump supporters on my small street, 2 waving flags!

I was the only one in my office saying Trump was gonna win. Bunch of smug liberals there, looking at each other like I was crazy because they were so "well" informed watching Jimmy Kimmel and shit.

They were mad at me when Trump won as if I had anything to do with it. I personally wanted Rand to win the nomination but Trump just was not having any of it. I still want Rand to get in there someday but Trump has been like a warrior in there.

I don't know that Rand could stand up to that onslaught.

2
DonJr2024 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've already predicted landslide to my friends (many of whom hate Trump so now probably half hate me). When he wins they will rhetorically ask "how is it possible that he won" and I will answer anyway with "the same news that gave you fake polls gives you fake news on Trump every single day."

5
Norwayhastrolls 5 points ago +5 / -0

Until trump. I had no idea how many of our laws were not being enforced. And here I am obeying laws and paying taxes.

I am surprised daily at trumps never ending MAGA. This is the hill I choose to die on.

5
chuckachookah 5 points ago +6 / -1

That’s not the issue.

The issue is voter, vote, and vote counting fraud. The Dems are going to cheat their way to a win.

What we have to do is convince 5-10 friends EACH that Trump is the man for the job.

1
DonJr2024 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yup. Needs to be a complete landslide or they will cheat and/or say Trump cheated.

4
TrumpTrain 4 points ago +4 / -0

Me either. I’ve only met people that voted for Hillary and now will vote write-in or independent over Biden

4
humped2424 4 points ago +4 / -0

Same here but mail in fraud

3
Brendancs0 3 points ago +3 / -0

Gary Johnson dumby over here

2
VelveetaJohnson 2 points ago +2 / -0

Keep your head up, Pede

2
Lobo60 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same here. Wasn’t convinced by Trump and sure as hell was not voting Clinton. Trump has been better than I could have imagined and the Democrats worse than I thought possible.

1
DonJr2024 1 point ago +1 / -0

People forget he got a HUGE % as an independant. Hard to believe Trump won't get more of those votes now.

3
July_1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah I don't believe the polls. I never have been polled. Who gets polled?

People are busy working and not answering random spam phone calls.

Nobody answers their phone if they don't know who the hell it is.

2
ColoradoTrumper45 2 points ago +2 / -0

In the polls they report the relevant data, like percentage turnout modeled and how many participants were called.

Some of these polls claiming Biden is double digits ahead only included 260 identified Republicans out of 1,000 people questioned.

The headlines usually gloss over "little" issues like that.

2
DonJr2024 2 points ago +2 / -0

The polls are usually less than 1500 people. As if you can represent America accurately with 1500 people. Ridiculous. Maybe 2000 PER STATE could give you a meaningful result.

3
H_Guderian 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think the Bernie Bros might be activated enough to participate this time. Gotta watch out.

Since my State has 0% chance of going Trump I am going to campaign with my Libertarian allies, which should help quash the "but muh popular vote" that'll go on after.

4
SheikFromMozambake 4 points ago +4 / -0

There are no states that have 0% chance of Trump winning. After the quarantines and riots, we are going to be shocked by the number of folks out to seek revenge on Democrats. Let's try to take all 50. Vote Trump.

1
DonJr2024 1 point ago +1 / -0

Vote vote vote please. Yes popular vote has some meaning. Plus... you never know. Might see some big flips.

3
ibot42 3 points ago +3 / -0

I have to say my wife and I did not vote for Trump 2016. (We did not vote for Hillary either) We will both will be enthusiastically voting for him this year. We both feel he has done a good job with what he has in the last years (can't even imagine if the democrats were willing to work with him how much greater it would have been). Do we openly tell others? Hell no, if someone says something first then we will share our views. But with the liberal mafia out there, it's not safe these days to share your opinions openly. If we were asked to partake in a survey for who we were voting for I would not even agree to do that. I wonder if these polls cover the counts of who hung up because they don't trust the media anymore.

3
TrumpsGlassOfWater 3 points ago +3 / -0

I didn't in 2016.

Will SLAM the DJT button in the booth this year though.

I've also gotten a person who voted against Trump in 2016 to vote for him in 2020.

I hope to get more!!!!

3
ColoradoTrumper45 3 points ago +3 / -0

Each democrat you bring over to Trump is a two point move.

Voters are finite. So converting a Dem loses them a point and adds one to our side. Compared to bringing a non voter over, that is 100% more effective.

We have to do both, but you did real good.

2
H335 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Awesome! Give this patriot a brick!

3
TrumpForeverEver 3 points ago +3 / -0

I live in California. Not one Trump voter I know has changed their support for the Greatest President in Modern times

Many don’t like him but all agree he is the most Patriotic of presidents and puts America before Germany, Iran, GB, etc. that is why they vote for him

3
humped2424 3 points ago +3 / -0

I mean how can u not vote for him again he kept all his promises and do u see the radical left they are legit scary

3
cook_does 3 points ago +3 / -0

My wife wasn't going to vote for Trump on 16, then all the Clinton/Podesta Pizza gate horror red-pilled her the fuck right up. She voted for Trump and drives around everywhere with her MAGA sticker on the back window of the vehicle. She works around a lot of liberal young people and has invited them over many times in which we have normal nice conversations and they toss around the idea of voting for Trump. She comes home about once a week and tells me about another lefty she works with that is going full Trump in 2020.

3
GrizWallerOGV 3 points ago +3 / -0

This right here is why people need to stop listening to corporate news and the concern trolls parroting their polls.

3
jackwerntz 3 points ago +3 / -0

True for me as well.

3
KeepTheFaith 3 points ago +3 / -0

Correct. And I live in a blue state.

3
_Donald-Trump_ 3 points ago +3 / -0

Same. The left is in for a big surprise.

3
CatFarmer 3 points ago +3 / -0

I voted against Hillary in 2016, this time I am excited to be on the Trump train. Everyone in my circle is more excited to vote for him this time. My three kids will be over 18 and are all voting Trump in 2020.

3
Ladybug87 3 points ago +3 / -0

Me neither! I actually wanted to ask here if anyone knows people who voted for Trump in 2016 and they either won't vote this year, or vote for Biden.

My husband didn't vote in 2016 and I wasn't citizen yet. This year Trump can count on our two votes!

3
Wintergreen 3 points ago +3 / -0

Same. I know a couple people that voted for the libertarian candidate that will vote for Trump this time around.

3
RocketSurgeon22 3 points ago +3 / -0

Liberals don't support Marxist. Many people have abandoned the Democrats and see they are working with China. The rise of liberal conservatives will be huge this election.

2
H335 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is so true. I had a huge fight a few weeks ago trying to explain that leftist progressives and globalists are not the same as classic liberals.

1
RocketSurgeon22 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’ve lost a couple friends like brothers they’re woke blacks. “How can I be so much for the community and support trump”?

2
saltymethods 2 points ago +2 / -0

I wrote in Bernie Sanders in 2016. And I've been on the Trump train ever since the 2016 elections. Choo Choo Motha'fuckers!!!

2
Gatsby2x4 2 points ago +2 / -0

Conservative and not gonna lie, wasn't thrilled about Trump in 2016 but would have done anything to keep Hitlery out of office. Strongly support Trump 2020!

2
Bobby 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same.

2
Bluestorm83 2 points ago +2 / -0

I didn't vote for him in 2016, having left New York after the registration cutoff in my new state. Gonna vote him SO HARD in this election, though.

2
Mr_Clit_Beastwood 2 points ago +2 / -0

Pound me too

2
StaryHickory 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well I did not vote for Trump last time, but I was overseas and my home of record was Texas...so it was like a forgone conclusion. And I wanted Trump to win anyways.

This time I will be voting hardcore Trump. I figure a lot of people are going to.

2
DatNewbChemist 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same story here. I’ve talked to a few people that voted for Clinton in 2016 and have openly admitted that they support Trump now as he’s done a pretty solid job on things like trade and his “no nonsense” diplomacy gets results. They still disagree with him on a few things, I wouldn’t call them ‘pedes by any means, but they’re voting for him.

Another thing I’ve noticed is anonymous social media platforms (Imgur, 4chan (sadly), etc.) have REALLY ramped up their anti-Trump rhetoric and a lot of it comes off as very purposeful and inorganic. Same generic style posts, same style comments, same talking points, the viral marketing DNC machine is definitely hard at work.

2
TheGoodApple220 2 points ago +2 / -0

The only ones I've heard are "Trump voters" on bullshit commercials where they're reading from a script over a Skype call.

1
Jaqueso 1 point ago +1 / -0

Same here. Voted for Johnson in 2016, 100% voting trump now. And I’ve never heard anyone say the opposite, votes trump but not this time.

1
Smurfection 1 point ago +1 / -0

Same here. I don't know anyone who wouldn't vote for Trump that voted for him in 2016 but I know several people that didn't vote or voted for Hillary in 2016 that are voting for Trump in 2020.

1
BigPoppaPossum 1 point ago +1 / -0

Same, the sheer amount of people that vocally support Trump around me is up 10x and I've heard "I've been a registered democrat my whole life, but I'm voting Trump" over and over

1
XirWokeMasterCuck 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not a single person. In fact the opposite

1
LeonKowalski 1 point ago +1 / -0

Same. People who “went out on a limb” and voted for him in 2016 aren’t going to be swayed by CNN. I didn’t vote for him in 2016 (forgive me), but I will do so in November. The Democrats have gone bananas, and I’m sure they’ve driven many others away.
