What people don’t realize is that statistic is from like the 60s. When your family was already wealthy and so you went to college to kill time to you were mature enough to get a big boy job with Family and Co. so these people were already going to be wealthy. Now we’ve got a bunch of kids going to get business majors and graduating and coming home to their single parent mother (thanks Dems for destroying Christianity and supporting radical feminism) who probably doesn’t have many business connections because she’s too busy trying to raise kids.
My vendor went to school and studied the difference between communism and socialism. Does not have a job pertaining to that "because I just got to get a little more education and maybe a college will take me or I can write papers."
He constantly complains about being in debt and not making enough money.
The student loan crisis is really the studies major crisis. 150-300K for a Wikipedia degree. Gender studies is the worst offender because they don’t even get their central premise right.
for which there is no job outside of the university
The big problem is that there are jobs for that now. Diversity officers. These positions need to be completely banned nationwide and every such degree holder needs to be picking up garbage for the rest of their lives.
Not just a bunch of women taking useless degrees. The cucking of the nation really got fired up when they started enrolling men in these useless courses too. The left actively hate success - in education or business. Back in 1970s UK the labor party stopped state run schools from providing any advanced classes for those who were more proficient in a subject. Every subject had to be dumbed down to the lowest denominator. This seems to be the way that the left is going in the U.S. See how they react to the idea of STEM?
Yes. The deadly sin of Envy is the foundation of the left's morality. The envious and hateful are the most moral leftists, according to their bizarro world moral system.
Nothing better than spending four years in college where 75% of the classes you take have nothing to do with the profession you're choosing to spend the rest of your life doing.
12 years in school. Then 4 more years in college. SIXTEEN YEARS OF YOUR LIFE. 16. And you start with zero experience and you're the low man on the totem pole because you're clueless.
Imagine a person spending 16 (SIXTEEN) years as an apprentice under ANY PROFESSION. Lawyers, doctors, welders, plumbers. SIXTEEN YEARS. They would be ready to open up their own business or practice. It is absolutely insane how bad our entire education system is. And it's because of control freaks who want the nanny state to take care of everybody.
And nowadays that 16 is turning into 18 with a masters. Nearly two decades. Insanity.
I wonder about that. My company will pay partial tuition for folks who want to study for a new degree. The vast majority of them always go for (and complete) business bachelors degrees.
Now I work a call center environment. How many of these bozos end up as CEOs? Zip. How many of them are still taking calls like nothing ever changed? Yup, all of them.
Here's the pro tip from someone who knows what he's talking about (me) :
Get a masters. MBA in finance is fine. That basically opens up the doors people previously thought a Bachelors in business opens up. The whole idea of a 4 year degree in business is stupid anyway. Actual business, hate to say it but you're either born with it or you aren't. Get in through the finance side and stick with it. IMO. Look into a CFA, and you're making money doing what people think a Business degree was gonna have them doing.
I'm 36, degree in business that I am still paying off, and it did absolutely nothing to help me get jobs throughout my career in IT, which i learned on my own and have done very well for myself and family.
I can't even fathom what it would be like to have the extra ~$100,000 I have been paying off for the past 15 years.
Unless you go in as a 17/18 year old who knows exactly what they want to study, in a STEM field, college is the biggest scam in the world. I did have a lot of fun drinking though.
It's crazy. Our poor parents didn't know any better. My dad was able to pay his way through college and got a good joh fresh out. It's maddening that they've watered it down so much. I wish I would've went into plumbing instead of college. I'd have zero debt and be skilled enough to start my own business.
Exactly. It's basically an expensive sleep away camp for adults to get inebriated and hook up. There is a very clear difference in lifestyle of STEM vs Liberal Arts degrees.
Nobody can destroy Christianity. Religion maybe but not Christianity. Christians do more to ruin it than unbelievers. They definitely are persecuting us.

Honestly though, anyone who has a useless degree and has any kind of job should be happy they got one to begin with.
Lol imagine going to school to study how to be a broke piece of shit

I really don't understand the need for a gender studies. It's gender. There is male and female, and that's all folks.
"Grievance Study Degrees"
That should be a meme! :)
Let's dial it up a bit, really get their knickers in a twist:
"Grievance Religion Degree"

"Outside of the university" and government! The Fed hires based on degree. A minority with a degree is an express ticket in government.
Those people wouldn't last a day picking up trash. I got more respect for a garbage collector than a hundred doctors of Gender Studies.

It’s a system based on jealousy
Yeah I agree. I think Jordan Peterson said it the best. "It's not that the left love the poor, they just hate the rich."

Most of them are getting elementary or pre-elementary degrees. Want to know why elementary and pre-school teachers get lousy pay? There's a glut.

I think the problem is too many people getting useless degrees, not people getting practical degrees and not knowing how to use them.
