Imagine a person spending 16 (SIXTEEN) years as an apprentice under ANY PROFESSION. Lawyers, doctors, welders, plumbers. SIXTEEN YEARS. They would be ready to open up their own business or practice. It is absolutely insane how bad our entire education system is. And it's because of control freaks who want the nanny state to take care of everybody.
And nowadays that 16 is turning into 18 with a masters. Nearly two decades. Insanity.

IMO the reason people think they need a masters for engineering at least is because so many H1B holders get a MS to validate their shitty BS.
