I don't think it's you. I think the article is incredibly unclear.
My suspicion is that someone working for the deep state "lost" the seized gun, but eventually it was recovered. So when the DA showed them the recovered gun, they immediately knew they were fucked if they didn't testify.

Still don't fully trust them. They were willing to lie for money. What's to stop them from lying more for more money? Couldn't they "testify" in a way to minimize the punishment for Jussie by saying things did/didn't happen a certain way?
