Visited East Berlin a couple of times. How gray and dreary! How paranoid. You knew the police were watching. Even if you couldn't see anyone, you just had that feeling of being watched. How paranoid. You knew the police were watching. Even if you couldn't see anyone, you just had that feeling of being watched.
I knew someone who crossed from East Germany back then, too. He had mental problems...not surprisingly.
