I am a software developer and interested in creating a chat app. I am wanting to know if there is any demand for a chat app version of this site, and if not specifically this site, more of a general conservative political chat. Of course Reddit and discord already have chats, but we all know what kind of people run those sites, and who they are ultimately beholden to. This would be completely written from scratch, without relying on third party services (beyond domain hosts).

Guess I am just trying to do a bit of research before diving in and actually starting the coding process to make sure I wouldn't be wasting my time. Any feedback is appreciated.
