Church people tend to judge you by your associations. If it is a Democrat controlled area, they would want you out of their congregation, you would be cast out/shunned.
Just look at how the Catholic school in Kentucky threw their students under the bus in a race to virtue signal first and hardest. So much for thinking you've bought a buffer from the Marxist public school shitshow by sending your kids to parochial school.
They don't seem to be terribly conservative about doctrine either. There's quite a few things they turn a blind eye to, or actively endorse, that Jesus definitely spoke against. They've turned to a general practice of all-inclusive, don't make people mad by preaching what the actual Bible says, and totally ignore the sin-no-more bit.

I'm sure Jesus will be VERY impressed with their pandering to earthly mobs.
Well said.
That certainly seems to include the ones who go to church.
My pastor basically said if you vote Dem, get out. Southern Baptist in Texas don’t play. But he’d agree with you about seminary.

Thanks for the personal story, it confirms what I have seen, the churches are mostly political entities in Democrat jurisdictions.
