Agree. I used to live in a Mass. city and cops were making well over six figures when you add in overtime and detail. They’d list salaries in newspaper and the top 20 were all cops. And this was like 20 years ago - back in the 90s.
If you have a chance, and see a cop out at a restaurant, pay for their meal! Easy to do. Even anonymously. Can go up to cashier and get a gift card. Have them deliver to police officer anonymously with a “thank you for your service”.

NYPD cops make more than 40k a year. And with cops, it's all about the pension. Get in at 21-22 and retire before 50.
