The executive order says

All businesses are encouraged to prohibit entry of each person who is not wearing a mask with the following exceptions

Persons under 2 Persons whom a mask would cause impairment due to an existing health condition Persons working in an environment with no face to face interactions with the public Persons exercising while social distancing

This is insane. I guess I could say i have a health condition, and I know I'm under no obligation to disclose it.

I was at Lowes yesterday, and the sign said you'll face penalties. Lmao

This is what the order says::

Section 2. Face Coverings Required. a. Every person working, living, visiting, or doing business in Orange County is required to wear a Face Covering consistent with the current CDC guideline while in any public place.

b. Medical and surgical face masks, such as "N95" masks or similar medical or surgical masks should be reserved for health care personnel and other first responders with the greatest need for such personal protective equipment. Persons are encouraged to review and comply with the CDC and Florida Department of Health guidelines on personal protective equipment, including with the respect to the use of a medical or surgical face mask, such as "N95" mask or similar medical or surgical mask.

c. All businesses are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines or industry standards (if any) on face coverings and social distancing. Businesses are remmded that Executive Order 2020-12 requires that both employees and patrons of businesses that require employees and patrons to be within six (6) feet must wear a face mask or covering, unless the wearing of the patron's face mask or covering would impede the patron's service, in which case only the service provider must wear a face mask or covering.

d. All businesses are encouraged to prohibit entry of each person who is not wearing a face covering with the exception of those below listed persons.

Section 3. Exceptions a. Nothing herein shall require the wearing of face coverings by the following people: i.) Persons under the age of two years old; or ii.) Persons for whom a face covering would cause impairment due to an existing health condition; or iii.) Persons working in a profession who do not have any face-to-face interactions with the public; or iv.) Persons working in a profession where use of a face covering will not be compatible with the duties of the profession; or v.) Persons exercising while observing social distancing in accordance with the CDC guidelines.

b. This Order does not apply to employees and patrons of first response, government, healthcare or medical, veterinarian, shelter or rehabilitation, childcare, utility providers, construction, or transit agencies.

Just found something from the ADA

People with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), severe anxiety, or claustrophobia (an abnormal fear of being in enclosed or narrow places).[8] may feel afraid or terrified when wearing a face mask. These individuals may not be able to stay calm or function when wearing a face mask.

Funny enough I have medically documented claustrophobia from an MRI

"mask" isn't really defined, so there's your loophole.

5
Smubbs [S] 5 points ago +6 / -1

well technically it says "face covering"

6
wethedownvoted 6 points ago +6 / -0

The key phrase in the order is, "Face Covering consistent with the current CDC guideline".

When you look at that CDC guideline, you find an even better loophole-rich environment:

Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost

This would explain the man with the mask made by looping the underwear from his briefs around his head and letting the brief part hang over his lower face.

Smubbs [S] 2 points ago +3 / -1

Or how about the article on CDC.gov saying masks don't work

wethedownvoted 4 points ago +4 / -0

Executive orders are not laws
CDC guidelines are ot laws.

Smubbs [S] 0 points ago +4 / -4

So that means all of trumps EOs are bullshit right?

3
Proud_American 3 points ago +4 / -1

He meant ordinance. They are not law.

2
TGNX 2 points ago +2 / -0

EOs are orders to the bureaucracy to perform certain functions in a certain manner. They work on the executive branch, not on the general public, but CAN have a profound effect on the public.

Tell them you have a medical condition. Make them follow the rules they made up.

Saw that Republican State Senator Anthony Sabatini filed a lawsuit against Orange County. Maybe that will help?

NC just started yesterday, but in my town, I am 6 for 6 so far with just walking in maskless and acting normally.

Lots of others maskless in the stores, so, at least so far, my town is un-cucked.

1
Jabron661 1 point ago +1 / -0

Also, my plan was if they stopped or questioned me, I would just pull my shirt up like Mort from Bazooka Joe style and keep walking, then when I got around the corner, just proceed normally,

I mean, its a piece of cloth over my face right?

You younger fella's might have to Google that.

Do not get me started!!!!!! The idiot "health officer" of my county issued a similar order yesterday. And there is no expiration date on it! I plan to drive to another county for necessities. Oh, what a pain it will be.

How about a piece of window-screen and some zip-ties ?

3
splink 3 points ago +3 / -0

We switched to just looping a cotton netting scarf around the head, it does absolutely nothing and lets us breathe and speak normally but still functions as a Karen-b-gon well enough.

3
malthrax 3 points ago +3 / -0

How about a piece of window-screen?

3
RocketSurgeon22 3 points ago +3 / -0

I used a bamboo see thru scarf once.

2
alfredbester 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fuck it. I'm cutting up one of my Trump hats and sacrificing a couple shoelaces. Camo.

3
thelastlast 3 points ago +3 / -0

ignore it. we had that since the beginning, they cant enforce it.

1
alfredbester 1 point ago +1 / -0

Counties are making businesses enforce it or they are shutting them down. Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission is suspending bar and restaurant licenses for violating guidelines also.

The problem is the majority of people are quite afraid of the virus, or of transmitting the virus to elder family members, so they naturally follow the guidelines and honestly feel betrayed and angry at those who flaunt them. They aren't all Karens. It's a brilliant strategy for the Leftist coalition so far. I wonder, though. I think all the simultaneous burning and looting may be more scary here soon. They are emboldened and moving too fast. They're giving the game away. (I hope)

Shop online as much as possible.

Was in Orange Beach Sun-Thurs this week. Very few mask spotted anywhere. The occasional virtue signaling family may have them but very seldom.

Most of the restaurants were open as far as I could tell. Played Kiva, went to a couple of stores and restaurants. Very close to normal.

Pablomaracas 2 points ago +2 / -0

Tell them you have a medical condition the keeps you from wearing a mask. By HIPPA privacy laws they are not allowed to ask you what that condition is...

ohwell316 1 point ago +1 / -0

My company got black masks with the logo. I cut eyeholes in it and wear it like Zorro.

1
NixonsDMTdealer 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you must wear a mask, go over the top and make it obvious you are ridiculing the face mask cultists. They cannot stand not being taken seriously or being told no. Wear a mask with holes in it, go full balaclava with sunglasses on. Wear a full reproduction of what Ted Cruz wore when he stabbed those two people at Lake Berryessa up in Vallejo back in ‘69.

1
Smubbs [S] 1 point ago +2 / -1

Whoa what’s this about Ted Cruz

1
NixonsDMTdealer 1 point ago +1 / -0

It was in reference to him being The Zodiac Killer.

Wait til Disney opens... Oh boy.
