It's actually very free-ing. They can have their silly balls which I used to think were so important, and their ever changing rules, and especially, their SJW politics.

Yep. A good year for me if I was still into sports. Of course I still hear the news about it on the car radio but now its just used for casual talk rather than a 20-minute+ discussion with people.
I don't expect all sports to go out of business as enough stupid people will still watch most if not all of it. As political talk in sports is just normal now.
Though I will say it wasn't a hard push as most of the sports I was into were becoming boring and all about the money. Or boring due to regulations.
