I have kind of tangential knowledge of of this shit, not personally but through a few friends who worked at nonprofits.
People imagine its like checks signed by George Soros going directly to comrades Tyrone and Kemal with like $500 for defacing a statue.
Instead its a huge world spanning organization, not unlike any multinational conglomerate. People on the bottom or middle will never meet people on top. Like any organization they have overall strategic plan, the equivalent of R&D budget, and million different projects, each branching out into subprojects and trickling down to the bottom.
They fund the projects by mean of grants, and whoever runs various projects than has a lot of autonomy on how to run it locally with the funding given, but have to report the progress and deliverables like (organized 7 demonstrations, with following attendance, see June news coverage extracts in appendix C and budget breakdown in attached excel file)
There is also a lot of nepotism and ties to government, where politicians relatives are given jobs in the organization. If you a judge or a journo, and your wife is in some nonprofit funded by Open Society, affects their decisions and bias. Not to mention that a lot of key decision makers are of the same ethnicity
