Remember a few days ago he kneeled down kissed a black dude's shoes?

Anyone remember that scene of the pope slapping an asian woman who was violently grabbing his hand when he walked by (was all over the news)? I learned she wasn't just a groupie bent on a selfie with the pope but a believer desperately pleading to speak up against the persecution of Catholics in China.

Anyone forget this? Profecy of the Popes(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prophecy_of_the_Popes)

I hope history remembers him as Francis the Usurper

As an active Catholic, I know I will...and I will start referring to him as such from this point on.

Communist Catholic Chinese Party....

We have the CCCP again... I thought we got rid of them once already

I think is was Michael Savage who said that the greatest lie ever told was when they equated Christianity with liberalism. As you can see, it was all downhill from there...

"Mother Teresa took donations from a few bad people" was one of the complaints against her from her mostly atheist detractors (e.g., Christopher Hitchens). That I didn't care about--money donated from bad people that is used for truly good purposes isn't inherently bad.

This, I wouldn't care so much about if it were the above scenario, but because Francis let the CCP dictate the church's Chinese bishops likely because of this money...well, it pisses me off. Can't wait for a new, hopefully much more traditional Pope.

Can't wait for a new, hopefully much more traditional Pope.

I hear that, Fam. I've thought about this a while ago, and the conclusion I've come to is that Francis is to the Catholic Church what Obummer was to America: we needed to see how bad things could be in order to regain our focus on what really matters. I don't know how long we have to suffer under this Pope, but keep your focus on what really matters (i.e., faith in God), and put not your faith in man, because -- as my priest is so fond of reminding us -- man will let you down every single time.

If you haven't already, check out Dr. Taylor Marshall. He's a traditional Catholic and has written a book about the infiltratiin of the Church with Freemasonry and Marxism.

I will, thank you very much!

Mother Teresa didn't help anyone. They're suffering only elevated her own sense of self worth and holiness.

3
OrangeElvis 3 points ago +5 / -2

Hope this is just a retarded attempt at satire. I am not Catholic, but she was a saint.

0
Wyrmshadow 0 points ago +1 / -1

No, she said she felt closer to God through their suffering. She didn't HELP anyone, just gave them a place to die in concentrated misery.

I am Catholic. Polish.

Dude, she cared for people dying in their final hours. Go tell all hospice people to fuck off and watch how the patients family members respond. You wouldn't last 10 seconds.

In 2013, in a comprehensive review[7] covering 96% of the literature on Mother Teresa, a group of Université de Montréal academics reinforced the foregoing criticism, detailing, among other issues, the missionary's practice of "caring for the sick by glorifying their suffering instead of relieving it, ... her questionable political contacts, her suspicious management of the enormous sums of money she received, and her overly dogmatic views regarding, in particular, abortion, contraception, and divorce". Questioning the Vatican's motivations for ignoring the mass of criticism, the study concluded that Mother Teresa's "hallowed image – which does not stand up to analysis of the facts – was constructed, and that her beatification was orchestrated by an effective media relations campaign" engineered by the Catholic convert and anti-abortion BBC journalist Malcolm Muggeridge.[8]

Yeah, that all sounds legit and not like a hit piece at all. If you had rudimentary understanding of the shit hole that is Calcutta, you would know those poor people were mostly crapped on their whole lives and someone "above their station" showing mercy and that they mattered was incredibly impactful to them and their loved ones - even if it was in their final moments.

Again, go shit talk to hospice workers in front of their families. You will be lucky to leave upright and with all your teeth.

We need a new Roman Catholic Church. One that recognizes Benedict XVI as Pope.

How about no Pope? Only Jesus Christ.

As an alternative, the Catholic Orthodox Church is very much alive and sticks to the original tenets of the catholic faith.

2
ProfessorRomendev 2 points ago +2 / -0

And the orthodox church is seeing a MASSIVE resurgance in russia, since 70~ years of soviet rule really crippled them. There’s an average of 1000 new orthodox churches being built every year!

We need NO Roman Catholic Church and NO pope. All roads lead to Rome, the Catholic Church is beyond saving and corrupt to the core filled with kiddy diddlers.

Tejanopede 7 points ago +7 / -0

Maybe we should bribe the Vatican to stay the fuck out of our business too

4
alpha_omega [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Bribe? Nah! Expose and prosecute.

SAW2TH 7 points ago +8 / -1

Understand this:

There are “2” Catholic Churches in China.

  1. The state run Catholic Church that appoints it’s own bishops that tow the CCP line, and

  2. The true Catholic Church that operates underground and is hunted by the Chinese government as insurgents.

Pope Francis took a payout from the CCP to deny the true Catholic Church in China and recognize the CCP Catholic Church.

I cannot think of anything more horrendous than betraying the devout Catholics in China who risk their lives to follow Christ.

There’s really no shock when it comes to these things — and it’s not what you think.

If someone is going to bribe you for millions of dollars it’s because they think it would cost more to kill you off. The end result is the same; you’re gone.

The only travesty is that when given the choice, people choose to sell their soul for money and life instead of choosing no money and death, soul intact.

Funny story I've been looking into this, the "pope" also sanctioned Catholic Church approved bishops selected by the CCP for their "version" of Christianity. This pope is a fool.

2
ProfessorRomendev 2 points ago +2 / -0

Commenter nails it.

“What’s worse, the Vatican being paid to be silent, or the Vatican being silent without being paid?”

I knew that cocksucker was corrupt to the core, when he came out so strongly against pedogate just as it was starting to trend majorly.

1
RenaissanceOfHope 1 point ago +2 / -1

Well, the Episcopal Church has no pope!

In all seriousness, Francis is probably a communist or something along those lines, and definitely an America-Hater.

The American Catholic Church should consider splitting from the Roman Catholic Church; just keep everything the same except it’s operated by American Catholics in the best interests of America.

The same thing goes with the Methodists, as although a ton of American UMC delegates supported the One Church plan, the delegates from non-Westernized countries supported the traditional plan. Given this friction, the UMC should split where the LGBTQ affirming congregations form their own Methodist denomination.

Lesson: In America, church denominations should not be global/multinational because it allows for other countries to tell our churches what to do; and the Vatican selling out Chinese Catholics is the perfect example.
